David Randall Blythe, vocalista de la banda de metalcore/groove metal Lamb of God, se dio unas vueltas por Petare (Venezuela, Estado Miranda) antes de montarse a hacer lo suyo en la noche de hoy, estas fueron sus palabras luego del show: “Thanks Caracas for an awesome show! Y’all rock! I had an awesome fucking day on 3 hours of sleep. Barrio Petare was crazy as fuck to cruise through. Some people haven’t written me on here saying “Great, you are showing the worst side of my country”- that was NOT my intent, nor was it prove how loco I am (we already know that). My point in showing those pictures of the hood is to let people in my country & other affluent countries that not everyone lives the way we do. Barrio Petare was the worst ghetto I have ever been in except maybe Trenchtown in Jamaica (where Bob Marley grew up). People need to see these things, to be reminded that there are others less fortunate who don’t have the choices we have. Also to prove that not everyone in the ghetto, ANY GHETTO, is a drug dealing murderer- they are just people, just like anyone else. Yes, the ghetto is dangerous and deadly- I’ve seen & lived in enough to know- but there is life there. It is just as valuable as anyone else’s. So people who have it good (including me)- take a look at your life before you whine about most anything. Cuz you really don’t have FUCK ALL to complain about compared to the way a lot of the world lives. Peace, respect, & one love. (ps- yes, #Randonesians live in Barrio Petare- I met some young ones today)”

It is unbelievable, a crime even, but I have just watched “Reservoir dogs” from 1992  and it is worth it, for those who don’t know about it yet, there’s the link… enjoy.
